The Formosan Dogs have a coat that is coarse, short, and thin. The fur is almost always straight rarely curly, it adheres closely to the skin and is between 1 ½ to three centimeters long.

The Taiwan Dog comes in a variety of colors, including black, fawn, brindle, white, white and fawn, white and black, and white and brindle. They have a curved skinny tail that loves to wag a lot.
